The Sunday Edit: The Cache Closet

Magnusson VIPs are, by definition, Emily Post Etiquette fans. You are Civilized. You have “Consideration, Respect, and Honesty.”   So, don’t forget your manners now! Even if you find yourself in a time crunch this month, remember that gifting can be done in preparation for the future! Set up your own Cache Closet starting now (for the next opportunity!). Better late than never.

Re-commerce-ing is a sweet shortcut, full of personality. Estate Sale and Auction Shoppers know that price and value are different. Gifting can be surprisingly inexpensive. Of course, the opposite is true if you want it to be. Here a few ideas to start your Cache Stash:

Barinacraft.com

Instead of the obligatory bottle of wine, keep a supply of vintage barware in your Cache Closet. An ice bucket, decanter or cocktail shaker is more fun.

Pickard Poinsettia Lustre Vase

Gift an offbeat studio vase with those flowers you just bought at ShopRite, or a surprising serving platter along with your canapes or cookies.

A set of French tea towels never goes unappreciated; tie them up with a bow and voila! Who cares if they re-gift them next holiday? Re-commerce is a good thing.

If you’re a houseguest, staying longer than a night or two, something more interesting may be required, but visit your Cache Closet again and keep it full with your Estate Sale and Auction finds!
