Early 20th century Reverse-Painted Lamp by Pittsburgh Lamp Co.: SOLD!

Description: This reverse hand-painted table lamp is the functional art you’ve been yearning for! Manufactured by the Pittsburgh Lamp Co. in the early 1920s, this lamp is a great representation of the Arts & Crafts movement. The reverse hand-painted lamp shade depicts a gorgeous wooded landscape scene with strong tones of reddish brown and green. The shade is mounted on an ornately cast metal base leading to a beautifully patinated acorn-style finial.

The glass shade measures 16 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 7.25 inches high. The metal base measures 8 inches Wide by 8 inches deep by 20.5 inches high to the finial. This hand-painted lamp is in good vintage condition consistent with age. There are no chips, cracks or dents to note on the shade or metal base. Though this lamp works, due to its vintage nature we recommend having this (and all vintage lamps) professionally rewired prior to installation/ use.
