Vintage Henry Summa Blown Glass Sculptural Platter: $750

Description: Behold this stunning glass centerpiece bowl/platter by renowned glassblower Henry Summa (American, 1949-2008). Mostly known for his small yet incredibly intricate paperweights, Summa’s flat pieces are exceptionally rare yet convey his flair and skill in the same manner. This shallow bowl/platter is quite heavy, and displays quite nicely under varied lighting conditions. The white, yellow, and dark blue flourishes contrast beautifully again the bowl’s ruby red tint. This in good condition, without and scuffs, chips or fractures to note. The glass displays bright and clear, without any haziness or shelf wear. Clearly signed, dated and numbered on the bottom of the platter; “Henry Summa, Feb 83, 02-20”. Presumably 2/20 pieces created in this series by the artist.
