Property from the collection will be on view and available for purchase in our gallery in Morristown, NJ beginning April 5th. Exhibition is open to the public Monday–Friday from 10am-3pm.
Celia Rulle is a woman who lives life as large as her exquisite collections. Her lifestyle is embodied in a collection of couture fashion, bespoke jewelry, paintings, furniture and fine objects. Far-flung travel and a rich social schedule enabled her to meet artisans, designers and other collectors who shared her sensibility for fine living. Balance is not only a key element of this collection, but also her mantra in life as a mother, grandmother and grand dame of refined elegance.

Meiji to Modern showcases an array of fresh to market 20th century fine and decorative arts, ceramics, and fine objects from Meiji to Modern styles. Asian art offerings include Japanese Satsuma, rare figures of seven gods and Chinese porcelain. Decorative arts feature modern design pieces from Silas Seandel, Paul Evans, and Cassini along with a presentation of sterling silver offerings, including an exceptional pair of Buccellati Rococo-style candelabras and Russian enamel pieces. COLLECTING PROPERTY AFTER SUCCESSFUL BID
Pick up will be in Morristown, NJ from October 23-27, 2023 10am-3pm EST only.
Please do not bid if you or an authorized third-party/shipper are unable to collect the items during that time. Lots left unclaimed after October 27, 2023 4PM will incur a fee of $10 per day/per lot for storage. Lots left unclaimed 14 days (November 1, 2023) of the auction closing will be considered abandoned at the buyers expense, relocated and disposed of. No refunds will be given for unclaimed lots.
CONDITION REPORT
Condition reports should be viewed only as the opinion of the specialist and not matters of fact. The Magnusson Group strongly suggests you review/request a condition report on each item you intend to place a bid on, and that you use the previews available to inspect the items yourself prior to bidding. Email Auctions@TheMagnussonGroup.com to request a condition report no later than 48 hours before the auction closes.
PAYMENT METHODS
The Magnusson Group encourages all winning bidders to complete their transaction through LivePayments (LiveAuctioneers Payment Processing Platform). If paying with a credit card then a flat processing fee (~3.8%) will be charged to your order total. This processing fee is collected by LiveAuctioneers and goes directly to them. To avoid the processing fee please pay with Bank Wire/ACH transfer ($15. flat fee), bank check or cash.
PAYMENT IN FULL
Please note that The Magnusson Group must receive full payment, with funds cleared (2-4 business days after check payment is deposited) prior to any property being collected by the winning bidder or their authorized third-party/shipper. Winning bidders who pay through LivePayments will have their items shipped first (if using in-house shipping).
PHOTO IDENTIFICATION
If you are collecting property in-person, please be prepared to provide photo identification.
If you are authorizing a third-party shipper to collect on your behalf, this authorization must be provided in writing in advance and from the email account associated with the winning bid. With respect to authorized third parties, their name must be provided. For authorized shippers, the name of the company must be provided. If a third-party shipper is collecting on your behalf, we recommend that you be available via phone or email during the collection window if any issues arise.
IN-HOUSE SHIPPING
The Magnusson Group will offer in-house shipping of items that can safely fit in USPS flat rate priority mail boxes(ONLY SMALL SILVER ITEMS FROM THIS AUCTION) at COST using USPS Priority Mail services to *US ONLY*. An additional flat fee of $10 will be applied for materials, packing and handling to EACH LOT on the bidders shipping invoice. Shipping invoices are sent using our third-party payment processing app called "Square". If you would like to use in-house shipping please contact us via LiveAuctioneers messenger once the auction ends. 1-3 days after the auction closes you will receive a shipping invoice to your email associated with your LiveAuctioneers account. Winning bidders will be required to manually input their shipping address where they would like the item(s) shipped to. Insured shipping is at the buyers REQUEST and EXPENSE, and will be calculated prior to shipment. All shipping invoices must be paid in full before orders get shipped out.
