We asked Donna a few questions so our Magnusson community can get to know her better!
What do you do for fun? I am a fitness enthusiast. While raising my family, I became a certified personal trainer, a group fitness and pilates instructor. When I have free time now, I love to spin, weight train, do pilates, and take long walks. My latest passion is pickleball. So much fun!
What are your hobbies/passions/volunteering? I am passionate about caring for underserved communities. Through my church, I am able to volunteer with food distribution to local needy families, travel with the NYC Relief bus to Newark to serve the homeless, and to act as a mentor to special needs children.
What is your favorite vacation spot? My favorite vacation was when my husband and I travelled to Greece. I find history and the evolution of civilization fascinating. I am intrigued by Greece's ancient art, architecture and culture, and its contribution to modern civilization.
What is one of your favorite books? One of my favorite reads was The Red Tent, by Anita Diamant. It is told from a female perspective following the life of the first women of the Bible. I loved how these women communed, cared for one another and survived during a dangerous era.
